Bringing the sunshine
I create joyful greetings cards and luxurious patterns to make people feel happy. I want to inspire people to share their love with friends and family. There’s nothing better than receiving a thoughtful card or gift and I want to help you to bring the sunshine to your loved ones, whatever the weather!

I love exploring and understanding our natural world Being outdoors, preferably in the sunshine and with my best furry friend by my side is definitely my ‘happy place’ and finding creative ways to share that love is a pleasure.
When you love something, even when it’s as big as a planet, it’s only natural to want to do everything you can to protect it. To make patternbymel a sustainable business that doesn’t harm the environment was an easy decision, whatever the extra challenges that brings.
And I wanted to do more. I admire every individual and organisation working to understand, support and encourage a fairer and wilder planet. I’m committed to sharing my success (at least 1% of my profits) with Rewilding Britain to help ensure there’s a wilder future for all of us.
Beautiful and sustainable design
I’ve been designing and making since I could hold a pencil. But only after I’d had a successful career in publishing and communications did I finally pursue my dream of going to art school. Taking all my years of experience as a Director of an award-winning scientific communication consultancy with me, I made a dramatic creative change in my life’s direction.
Now, as creator, illustrator and patternmaker I’m proud to have launched patternbymel and to be building relationships with brilliant retailers, stockists and other brands. It’s exciting to be finally in my own creative driving seat and able to share my brand with you and your customers. Now, more than ever, I love finding new customers, understanding my client’s needs and building fabulous, and long-lasting relationships. I really look forward to working with you.
